Derek S. Lucas works primarily out of our Tampa, Florida office, and focuses his practice of law in the areas of Family Law, Collaborative Divorce, Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate. Derek provides his clients with caring, responsive and affordable representation.
Derek graduated from Florida A&M College of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and began his career in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment sales industry. This experience helped Derek to bring insight from outside of the law to his practice and to applying outside of the box thinking to resolve disputes. He was admitted to The Florida Bar on December 18, 2008. Derek is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator.
Derek is a member of the Hillsborough Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Derek is currently serving as the co-chairperson of Next Generation Divorce, one of the largest collaborative divorce groups in the country. He has been a Board member of Next Generation Divorce since 2013.
Derek grew up in Winter Haven, Florida and currently lives in North Tampa with his wife, four children and two dogs. Although not a native himself, his wife and four children are native Floridians and he has lived in Florida for almost 38 years. Derek loves everything about being a Floridian and spends his free time with his family participating in water sports, biking, camping and many other outdoor activities. Derek is a believer in the words of Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
Elizabeth G. “Libby” Bourlon works primarily out of our St. Petersburg, Florida office, and focuses her practice of law in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts, Probate , Business Law, and Taxation. She provides thoughtful and affordable legal services to traditional and non-traditional families and small businesses.
Libby is a proud graduate of Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude and was a member of the Stetson Law Review. She was admitted to The Florida Bar on April 15, 2004. In addition to her Florida Bar License, Libby is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of Florida, and started her career as an Internal Revenue Agent.
She is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the American Academy of Attorneys-CPAs, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court.
Libby grew up in Pinellas County, Florida and currently lives in St. Petersburg with her husband and two dogs. She has two daughters, one in St. Petersburg and one in Brooklyn, and two grandsons that she doesn’t see often enough. She enjoys traveling when she can, and loves staying in old, grand historical hotels.
